Ho, May 19, (Mensah) GNA-Scores of students of Ho Polytechnic on Monday stormed the campus of Ho Nurses Training College and reportedly indecently assaulted some female students.
The Polytechnic students who were on a float as part of activities marking their Students Representative Council (SRC) Week celebrations were said to have entered some classrooms and hostels of the College and forcibly fondled the breasts of female students as their victims screamed and scrambled for help.
The Ghana News Agency also learnt that in course of the chaos, a female student was stripped naked and some students inserted their fingers into her private part amidst invectives that Student Nurses were prostitutes.
The students were said to have earlier forcibly laid bare the breast of a female student as the street jamboree went on.
Some male students were said to have pulled out their penises, flaunting them with glee to the dismay of the public.
Others were said to have looted shops and mini supermarkets of monies and provisions, along the route of the rampaging students.
Mrs Josephine Ansu-Gyeabour, Vice Principal of Ho Nurses Training College confirmed the incident and said the College had written to the Ho Polytechnic to inform and protest the indecent attacks on its students.
“We have written to inform them that we are not happy about the misconduct of their students,” she stated.
Authorities of Ho Polytechnic have also confirmed the incidents and said they were investigating the case.
Mr Stephen Afenyo Dehlor, Acting Registrar told the GNA that, no student is above the law and that all those found guilty would be brought to book.
Meanwhile, GNA checks indicate that, no arrest had so far been made by the Police.
