Missing boy found drowned in a stream

Ho, Nov. 2, (Owusu-Mensah), GNA –The Ho Police on Tuesday confirmed finding Master Kingsley Attah, a pupil of the Ho-Bankoe Methodist Primary, reported missing on October 27 this year, dead.

His decomposing body was found, in school uniform at the banks of a stream at Dornorkordzi, a suburb of Ho.

Mr Samuel Owusu Bekoe, Ho Municipal Police Commander said the boy could have drowned in the river and body carried and deposited by currents of the stream to where it was found.

He said Attah was said to have gone to his Auntie’s workplace after school but was sent away because he was wet, having walked through the rain.

Mr Owusu Bekoe said Attah did not arrive home, and attempts to locate him having failed, was declared missing.

He said a decomposing body found on Sunday at the banks of the stream was identified as Attah and a report made to the Police.

Mr Owusu-Bekoe said after scene checks the body was taken to the morgue awaiting further processes as related to cases like this.

He said Attah probably tripped over a plank and fell into the stream, swelled by heavy rains, while on his way home.
